1 Shelley The distinctive diagrid support façade definitely has made this building one of the most recognisable commercial premises in Sydney, It is wholly occupied by Macquarie Bank and from what I have seen on the net, the inside is even more incredible. Fitzroy Dock The first Australian dry dock, built by convicts between 1847 and 1857 under the order of Governor Gipps, who thought that the convicts in the prison island could be put to work cleaning and repairing Royal Navy ships.
