The distinctive diagrid support façade definitely has made this building one of the most recognisable commercial premises in Sydney, It is wholly occupied by Macquarie Bank and from what I have seen on the net, the inside is even more incredible.

Fitzroy Dock
The first Australian dry dock, built by convicts between 1847 and 1857 under the order of Governor Gipps, who thought that the convicts in the prison island could be put to work cleaning and repairing Royal Navy ships. The dock was named after Gipp’s successor, Governor Fitz Roy.

The Plaza
When Cockatoo Island was the site of one of Australia’s biggest shipyards in the twentieth century, the Plaza was the site of many buildings and workshops, whose footprints are still evident.
